Online Application Steps
Create an account by clicking the “Apply Now” button on any program information page.
As a security precaution, an email will be sent with a temporary password. Please use this temporary password to log into your account. It will automatically take you to page to change your password. Upon changing it you will be take to your applicant home page. From here you should complete your profile and then navigate back to your program of interest. (NOTE: if you already sent us a message by clicking on a “Request Info” button, you can log in using the password you already established, skipping the above steps.)
After clicking the “Apply Now” button of your desired program, please answer all prompts. On your “Program Application Page” you will have directions on how to submit the following required documents:
- Upload a copy of your passport, driver's license, or state-issued ID card.
- Pay the Non-refundable $80 application fee
- Electronically Sign the Internship Agreement & Refund Policy
- Fill out all Applicant Questionnaires
- Upload an Internship Essay / Cover Letter
- Upload a Resume/ CV
- Upload your university Transcript or diploma
Once all documents are submitted International Internships will process your application and contact you within one week with a decision on your acceptance.
Your internship essay is designed to assist our placement team find you the best fit for you. In 2-5 paragraphs, please be as specific as you can about what you would like to do in your field. If you are a business major looking for a marketing internship, do you want to market a sports team, or clothing or a new brand of soft drink? Or, do you want to be involved in the creative side of marketing, working at an advertising agency hired to develop a branding strategy. You should be thinking about similar companies and organizations; company size; multinational or domestic; etc. Is a big name company crucial or is the substance of your internship most important? (Smaller companies often yield greater responsibility to the intern.) Be sure to include the skills you wish to improve upon and those you would like to gain. This essay and your CV or resume will be the starting point for our search so make sure you give us as much direction as you can. And, please remember, placement requests must be realistic in terms of your background, experience and education. If you still want more clarification, contact our office.
Late applications are accepted on a case-by-case basis and will incur an additional late application fee of $50 (for a total applicaiton fee of $130). In order to apply late, you must contact International Internships for persmission to open a closed applicaiton for you. The late appication fee is non-refundable.
If you are accepted into the program you will receive notification via email. You will also see “Decision Reached” on your application home page when you log into your account. You will be able to view the acceptance decision and take the next step in the process by clicking on your program name.
In order to participate you must click “Commit” on your Program Application page. A $500 deposit is due within one week of acceptance into the program (deposits are refundable if a placement commensurate with your background, skills and experience is not secured). Once the deposit is received, International Internships will start the placement search and will also schedule a placement call with the local on-site coordinator. Upon receiving notification of the internship placement, a signed Placement Agreement Letter must be submitted stating you agree to the placement assigned.

- Visa Information
International Internships will provide pre-departure information that is available online on your Program Application Page. All available pre-departure information will be visible in your “Learning Content” section. Participants are required to read all sections and submit a signed letter stating that all sections have been read and understood.
