Intern in New York City

The Custom Internship in New York City Program is designed for both Americans and Foreign Nationals who desire to undertake an unpaid internship with a US host company in NYC for 2-18 months.  Your internship placement will be customized to you and your goals in your chosen field.  Our placement coordinators work with a large variety of companies and the organization you are placed with will be determined by many factors including company needs along with your education, experience and background.  The placement offer MUST be directly related to your field of academic study unless you have over five years of work experience in another field.

For international students to qualify for a J-1 visa, they must:
  1. Be a full-time university student or start their placement no more than 12 months after their official date of graduation (Intern Category)
  2. OR have 12 months, full-time, work experience in their field outside of the USA (Trainee Category)
  3. OR have 5 years of work experience in a particular field (Trainee Category)

TestimonialsNew York City

"I have started training at Production Central in New York and so far I'm really enjoying the program. I'm assisting on set, editing, operating cameras, researching and learning something new everyday. The city too is absolutely inspiring and magnificent. It truly is a fantastic experience and I definitely advice all students or trainees to gain international experience. It's really worth it, well at least for me!"- Zoe K. (South Africa)

"The company you found for me is great place to work. Sometimes challenging but over all great. I am learning a lot and Isaac is also a very good Boss. I am enjoying my experience here and I am glad and thankful for this amazing opportunity. Thank you."- Fibian R.
