New York City has long been known as one of the fashion capitals of the world. The core of the fashion industry in Manhattan's Garment District, where the majority of the city's major fashion labels operate showrooms and execute the fashion process from design and production to wholesaling. No other city has a comparable concentration of fashion businesses and talent in a single district. The Garment District is home to a number of well-known designers, their production facilities, warehouses, showrooms, and suppliers of fabric and materials. Many in the industry allege that this dense concentration of talent, entrepreneurship and supply stores functions like an ecosystem in which each of the parts helps sustain the whole.
Through International Internships LLC, students can be placed in exciting New York City fashion internships that are customized based on the student's interests, desired length, and experience level! From events, marketing/public relations, design, merchandising, and buying, students can gain firsthand experience in the world of fashion in the Garment District, which will greatly enhance their future career opportunities in this dynamic field.

- Interning in a busy Fashion PR Agency
- Assisting an online fashion and technology company that produces individually unique, custom crafted men's button-down shirts
- Performing sales, PR, Production, and design functions at a leading luxury lifestyle brand
- Developing samples/lines at a Men's Clothing Line
- Participating in sales projects for a young and dynamic t-shirt brand
- Providing e-marketing support for a leading cosmetics company
- Assisting publicists at a luxury women's wear line
- Helping the photo and bookings department in the production of photo shoots at a top fashion magazine
Stipend
The fashion internships in the USA are not paid placements. Interns do not receive compensation during the program.Eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years Undergraduate Study Completed
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student
- Recent graduate are eligible if they start their internship within 12 months of their official graduation date
- Relevant academic background and/or work experience in the desired field
