Intern with International Internships LLC

International Internships LLC is a company that places college students and recent graduates into pre-professional Internship, Traineeship and work placements in 18 countries including the J-1 Visa program to the United States.  This position will be located in Englewood, Florida and will work directly with the Executive Director.

You will have the opportunity to learn how a U.S. International Education business is run and will learn by participating in all aspects of the business that the Executive Director and Operations Director manage.  

Englewood, Florida is a small resort seaside community in the state of Florida.  You will live close to the beach and be able to enjoy the sunny weather that Florida is famous for.  Orlando and Disney are only 3 hours away by car.

Position Summary
The Program Advisor and Marketing and Sales INTERN will utilize our online enrollment management software (TerraDotta/ Studio Abroad), Sales Force, and social media to drive growth in both of our outbound and inbound internship placement service segments.  Knowledge or experience in the field is advantageous as is previous study abroad.  Candidates with exposure to TerraDotta’s Studio Abroad program management software is highly desirable also.
This highly self-directed individual should possess extraordinary organization and communication skills and be focused on assisting with our marketing and outreach strategies.  If you do not have attention to detail and cannot spend your time advising students or following up on leads, then this is not the position for you.  The primary responsibility of the position is one of student recruitment/ sales and enrollment but marketing, advising, and outreach will play a key role.

  • Advise students on our outbound (15 countries) and inbound (USA J-1 visa) programs via extensive phone calls and emails
  • Manage program applications and processing
  • Spearhead our marketing and outreach efforts, including the use of Constant Contact & social media, to recruit students 
  • Assist with pre-departure procedures
  • Liaise with our international offices and partners
  • Assist with Website updates and editing
  • Develop contacts and affiliates at universities around the country in an effort to widen our market base/ feeder schools
  • Answer phones
  • Data entry
  • Possibly attend campus study abroad fairs
  • Report to the Executive Director

Englewood OfficeDuration

  • 6-12 months
  • 40 hours per week 


  • $250- $750 per month (Compensation will be discussed during interview and will depend on your experience)

  • Placement Fee for all applicants and F-1 Students with OPT or CPT Status: $1,350
  • Additional: 
    • Travel to/from Florida (Sarasota, Tampa, and Ft. Myers are the closest major airports)
    • Housing: (A furnished studio apartment within walking distance to the office is available to intern for $750-$800 per month)

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 2 years Undergraduate Study Completed
    • If Non-US Citizen you must qualify for the J-1 Visa (see Eligibility to Become a Trainee or Intern)
    • Business, Marketing or Communications degree or academic background in a related business field
    • Highly organized
    • Excellent communication, oral and written, skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Leadership skills and team-oriented attitude
    • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Drive
    • Have your own laptop
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Sales experience 
    • Internship experience
    • Study Abroad experience
    • Knowledge of Salesforce
    • Knowledge of Studio Abroad (TerraDotta) program management software
