Visa Information

The J-1 visa requires visa sponsorship. This means a Visa Sponsor (an organization designated by the State Department) will review your eligibility for the J-1 visa and make a decision to sponsor (approve) you or not. International Internships LLC will take care of all the paperwork required for this approval. Once approved by the visa sponsor you will receive a DS-2019 Form, which will allow you to attend an Embassy/Consulate Interview. This is the final step for J-1 visa approval.

Refer to the Eligibility section to make sure you meet the requirements of this visa.

Housing

Interns and Trainees with International Internships LLC are responsible for arranging their own housing.  However, in order to make this process easier, we have developed relationships with several housing agencies in New York to offer special pricing and individualized care to our students searching for housing in New York.  Feel free to contact these partner agencies and reference this document during your house-hunting search. We recommend staying in a hostel or other temporary housing directly after your arrival in order to spend time searching for more permanent housing.

Our Guarantee

International Internships guarantees all accepted applicants a placement in their field - commensurate with the applicant's background, education and experience. If we do not offer you a placement, your deposit will be refunded. Our extensive network of contacts allows our placement teams to find a suitable placement for almost anyone.
